Original watercolor seascape painting: “Rocky Coast in Winter”
Watercolor 8″ X 10″, 2012
Growing up in Maine, rocky coastlines were much more familiar to me than sandy beaches, and I still think they can be just as picturesque. A rugged coastline is pictured in winter in this moody watercolor seascape painting, with a covering of snow and a weak sun just visible through a veil of grey clouds.
This is an original unmatted and unframed watercolor painting.
It is painted on 140 lb (300 g/m2), acid free, archival quality cold press watercolor paper, using high quality watercolor paints. The painting is finished with a coat of spray varnish.
Paper measures 8″ X 10″ (20.3 X 24.5 cm) to fit easily in a standard frame. Image size is approximately 7″ X 9″ (17.8 X 22.9 cm).
This piece is signed with a monogram and year in the lower right-hand corner, and title, date and artist’s name on back.
