Original watercolor painting: “Over There”

A small flock of birds perch on misty silhouetted branches in this piece. Few sights in nature evoke a stronger sense of freedom and calm than that of a bird on the wing, so I particularly enjoyed painting the two birds taking flight as their neighbors look on. The black of the silhouettes in this piece contrast with the sharp white background, while the grays and lavender in between provide a soothing transition for the eye. What a beautiful touch of nature for your decor!

This listing is for an original unmatted and unframed watercolor painting.

Painting measures 8″ X 10″ (20.3 X 24.5 cm) to fit in a standard frame. Image size is approximately 7″ X 8.5″ (17.8 X 21.6 cm).

It is painted on 140 lb (300 g/m2), acid free, archival quality hot press watercolor paper, using high quality watercolor paints. The painting is finished with a coat of spray varnish.

This piece is signed with a monogram and year in the lower right-hand corner, and title, date and artist’s name on back.
